No, you don't have to leave a comment for every album you download. Of course, comments are appreciated, as they give us encouragement, but it's quite understandable that nobody has something to say about everything. I don't leave as much comments on other blogs as I probably should myself.

What you can do however is rate each entry that you download. Each entry page has a little drop-down list with a rating from 1 to 5. It takes two seconds to select a rating, and it gives us invaluable feedback. In the end this is just as much in your interest as in ours; highly rated entries will prompt us to post more of the same.

There are a bunch of excellent MP3 blogs out there that I visit regularly. However, I don't like subscribing to too many feeds as it quickly gets overwhelming. Nor can I visit each and every one every single day to check what's new. So after a couple of days in development using Yahoo Pipes, JSON, and custom JavaScript, I've come up with the ideal solution for my needs: a single web page that aggregates only the latest posts from all my favorite sites. I now visit this page daily and never miss a good post.

I figured I might as well share this with the rest of you and made it a bit customizable. The result can be found here: The Daily MP3 Blogs Aggregator. I'll add further customization to it in the future, so that you can not only choose from the ten blogs I've listed, but add other blogs to it as well. Check it out and feel free to leave suggestions here on how it can be further improved.

We're ready and rolling. The first album uploads are coming in. Check the Records Blog and happy listening.

Over the next few weeks I'll post a lot of obscure indie, garage, punk, lo-fi, experimental, post-punk, and the occasional jazz albums to get this rolling. If you see something you like, don't forget to leave a comment - this will make it more likely that I'll post something similar in the future. Requests are considered, but they'll have to pass my definition of quality control.

All download links are in the comments of the posts, and you'll have to use good-old-fashioned copy&paste to download any of these. If any link stops working, please leave a comment and I'll try to fix it.
